Winter family retreat Bagnes in the village center

Chalet Dubey is a beautiful mountain retreat in Sarreyer, part of the Bagnes and Verbier ski area. With uninterrupted views of the sunny valley and southern Swiss and French Alps, this spectacular chalet can be enjoyed at all times of the year.

It may be hard to leave the chalet with its terrace overlooking the valley, sauna, TV, movies, fully equipped kitchen, and a number of ‘good reads’ – all surrounded by over 180 degrees of incredible mountain views. Yet if you can tear yourself away there are mountain spas, ski-ing, heli-boarding, paragliding, kayaking, canyoning, mountain biking and horse riding to name but a few (obviously some dependent on weather and season!).

Chalet Dubeyis a self-catering chalet. There are catering options which can be organised by the housekeeper (minimum of 10 days notice required). Please note we provide bed linen and towels.

Sleeping up to 8 adult guests, we welcome couples, families and friends. Our chalet is family-friendly and fully equipped for a family mountain holiday.

From your bed, wake up to incredible views from all around chalet windows. Bedrooms have been stylishly decorated in a mountain style. Luxury mattresses with cotton bedsheets and fluffy goose feather duvets and pillows.

The entire middle main of Chalet Feiler is dedicated to the sleeping quarters and comprises four bedrooms with kingsize beds, this floor is perfect for children and adults alike. The sleeping capacity of the chalet can be up to 8 guests in total. Each bedroom has mountain views and each floor of the chalet has a bathroom or shower room. Three of the rooms have access to a main outdoor while the top floor has access to the terrace for further lounging.

The open plan living area upstairs is the focal point in Chalet Dubey and is where you will undoubtedly spend countless hours chatting in front of the fire and enjoying the incredible views. The feeling of space is created by the double height chalet ceiling and panoramic views out into the valley. The large living space is cleverly divided into areas for eating and relaxing with access to the large terrace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a double stove, induction hob, oven, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, raclette and fondue sets.

Chalet Dubey is a self-catered chalet (although there is a catering option). There is a mini supermarket and croissanterie in the village as well as many larger supermarkets in le Chable, Sion and Conthey.

Our housekeeper or Smooth can buy groceries for you prior to your arrival. She also organises evening meals, cooked by a local chef (with the option of waiting staff). There are several menu options including some wonderful local specialities such as Raclette. There is also a breakfast option. These should be pre-ordered prior to arrival directly with our housekeeper and she requires at least 7 days notice.

On the lower floor, we have a cellar, a sauna room with plenty of storage for coats and shoes. There is also a ski room which has specialist storage racks for skis and snowboards as well as a heated boot rack. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer as well as an iron and ironing board.

Verbier, the most cosmopolitan holiday resort in Valais, is situated on a sunny plateau and offers a unique panoramic view of the Mont-Blanc and the Combins massif.

In winter, the extraordinary skiing region offers limitless pleasure for advanced skiers from all over the world as well as for beginners. In summer, mountainbike and hiking enthusiasts can choose from among numerous marked trails. The alpine village has countless activities in store for families, senior citizens and young people alike: paragliding, heliski, sledding, golf, museums, and local produce to try.

Winter

As soon as the first snow falls, Verbier becomes a mecca for winter sports enthusiasts. The “4 Valleys” ski zone − with no less than 410 km of ski runs and over 89 ski lifts – embraces five resorts: Verbier, Nendaz, Veysonnaz, Thyon and La Tzoumaz. A cable car takes skiers to the summit of Mont-Fort (altitude: 3330 m), from where the descent is one of the most superb “black runs” in the Alps.

Non-skiers can also enjoy the winter countryside on a snowshoe walk, by taking the hiking trails or launching out on the longest toboggan run in the French-speaking region of Switzerland (length: 10 km). The resort of Verbier is known to ski tourers as a staging-post on the “Haute Route” from Chamonix to Zermatt.

Summer

Over 500 km of signposted trails guide hiking aficionados across the Verbier heights and the Val de Bagnes. Seasoned hikers can set out to discover classic routes such as the Tour du Val de Bagnes and Tour des Combins. Mountain-bike enthusiasts will find plenty of itineraries – no less than 826 km – and a bike park. The region also offers various other leisure pursuits: 2 golf courses, climbing routes, an adventure park, paragliding and many activities besides. One attraction not to be missed: the climb to the summit of Mont-Fort, with sweeping views from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc.
